Guinness World Record Attempt...

As part of the Food Revolution campaign's target to get one million children cooking on one day, they also want to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD™ attempt for the ‘Most participants in a cookery lesson in 24 hours (multiple venues)’. The current GUINNESS WORLD RECORD is 2,012 and it can be beat with Jamie’s Rainbow Salad Wrap cooking lesson. If you simply want to get kids cooking on the day, there’s no pressure to join in. However, if you want to be part of the record, just be aware that it can be a lengthy, rigorous process to verify all locations. Here's how you can join in the record attempt.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

HOMES, WORKPLACES, COMMUNITIES AND EVERYONE ELSE AROUND THE WORLD aside from UK and Australia: watch Jamie’s cooking lesson live at 14:00 BST (9:00 am EST), via You Tube. If you miss it you can watch the lesson from 9:30 EST onwards.
Champion Recipe Rainbow Salad Wrap

This Rainbow Salad Wrap is colourful, seriously tasty and fun to make. Feel free to use other firm fruit and vegetables that are in season where you live, or leave out the wraps and eat it as a salad, if you prefer.

It doesn't matter what you make on May 16th, as long as you cook or prepare it from scratch and have fun doing it. Some other recipes offered on Jamie's site-  a bunch of recipes that kids can pretty much nail on their own (although adult supervision is always advised!), a handful of recipes that are great for cooking as a family, and of course an extra few for those grown-ups who simply want to cook for themselves. And remember to share your Food Revolution Day photos, videos and comments on social media and help spread the word #FRD2014!
